2010 Fall Baseball ended Oct 28!
Thanks Players, Coaches, Parents, Umps, GLL Board and Fans for a
great Fall Ball season!
Greenville Little League offered an Instructional Fall Baseball league again this year. This is an opportunity for boys and girls to learn more about
the game. The competitive level is turned down and players get to play a variety
of positions. It is a great opportunity for beginner players and players moving
up to the next division to get introduced at a slower pace and for "veteran" players
to hone their skills.
Age divisions are Coach Pitch (7-8 years old), Minors (9-10) and Majors (11-12)
with "League age" based on your child's age as of April 30, 2011. Please note that your son or daughter must be league age 7 (seven years old
on or before April 30, 2011) or in the first grade to be eligible to start play
this fall. Also, players that are 13 or older or turn 13 on or before April 30,
2011 are not eligible.
Practices began after Labor Day and baseball games began Wednesday, Sep 15 and
concluded by Sat, Oct 30. You can expect up to three practices a week before
the season starts then one or two games per week and one or two practices per
week during the season. |
