Understanding Spring Scheduling

There are a handful of extremely important influences over our schedule that result in our busy, yet rewarding Spring season.  Those include:
  • Number of kids registered
  • Number of available fields
  • Weather
  • District and State tournaments
  • Significant school events (i.e. Spring Break)
We try our best to ensure that all kids have a great experience with our League, and put a lot of effort into creating a schedule that fosters that.  We've captured a good bit of this in our What To Expect page, but each Spring has its own uniqueness.  Here is what you can expect for Spring 2022:

All games are scheduled and distributed at one time, prior to the start of the season.  Due to Greenville County School's Spring Break and our desire to end the season at Fluor Field on May 12th, we have a very compressed game schedule.  Parents should still expect 2 games a week, for our 10-game regular season and double elimination post-season tournament.  Practices will be scheduled in advance for the teams, and are subject to field availability.  Coaches will rely heavily on parents to communicate their player's availability for games to maximize our ability to play them on time.  If you have any concerns over your player's ability to participate with the team for any of your scheduled events, please first reach out to your team Coach.

We expect to have a great season this year.  Let's hope for great weather!  Buckle up, and welcome to Greenville Little League
