Safety Precaution List

As the home of over 900 youth baseball and softball players, Greenville Little League recognizes their role in the health and safety of its participants, family, and staff.  We have prepared the following outline of precautions that we are taking for the upcoming season to meet that responsibility.  Please note that we have taken into account the guidelines and recommendations of health organizations, local government, and any requirements of the owners of our fields.

As changes in our requirements or optional precautions are rolled out, this page will be updated.

Safety Guidelines for 2022 Spring Season
1.  Keep 6 feet apart while in all common areas and spectator areas.
2.  All Spectators are highly encouraged to wear masks or face coverings while at the park.
3.  “BYOC” Bring your own chair to the park and spread out to enjoy the game. You can set up chairs along the fences and the sidelines while maintaining 6 feet distance between others.
4.  “BYOW” Bring your own water (and snacks). Do not share or borrow drinks/snacks with others! No exceptions!
5.  GLL will refrain from post-game hand shake tradition.
6.  “Get Outta Here” We love having you at the park, but we ask that you leave promptly afteryour game or practice.
7.  “Are you sick? Stay Home!” If you are feeling ill, have fever, or exhibiting COVID19 symptoms, stay home.
8.  If a player, coach, or parent tests positive for COVID19, parents are required to contact coach and remove player from all team activities immediately. Player will remain unable to return to team activities until medically cleared, 14 day quarantine time has been met, and no further symptoms are present.
9.  If a player, coach, or parent has a known exposure to someone who has recently tested positive for COVID19, the affected person should begin a 14 day quarantine period while watching for symptoms. The exposed person must stay away from team activities until one of the following conditions have been met.
- Exposed Person has completed 14 day quarantine period from date of exposure or last symptom.
- Exposed Person has tested negative for COVID19 with the test date being at least 3 days after the know exposure.
10.  If Guidelines 7-9 apply, you are required to call your coach immediately and inform them of your situation and circumstances. GLL will assess the situation and inform any potential affected parties.
Other Recommendations:
• Pack some hand sanitizer in your child’s bag and instruct them to use it often. GLL will provide some hand sanitizer and sanitary wipes in dugouts. However, we greatly appreciate parents sending personal supply with their child. It is not possible for GLL to ensure adequate supplies are present for every game.
• Review the above guidelines with your player prior to your first team activity.
• Don’t share or borrow batting helmets or gloves. GLL has some batting helmets that we can provide for season use. Let your coach know if you need one.
